Hagrid's Hut
Hagrid lived in a small, wooden, one-room cabin that stood on the edge of the Forbidden Forest. In one corner of the room was a gigantic bed covered in a patchwork quilt, and in another corner was Fang's basket. An enormous scrubbed wooden table and chairs stood in front of the fireplace, and hams and dead birds hung from the ceiling. There was a dresser, a wardrobe, and a cupboard for dishes. Thin curtains hung on the windows. Hagrid kept his flowery pink umbrella close at hand. Outside the front door was a water barrel, and once there was a crossbow and galoshes; another time Hagrid sat outside in an armchair. Outside the back door was a garden. A huge, blond Death Eater used the Incendio spell to light Hagrid's cabin on fire with Fang still inside. Hagrid entered the burning house and carried Fang out on his back; Harry and Hagrid used the Aguamenti spell to put out the fire [HBP28].
